If Futurama was Real...
...well, what I think it might look like.

Just sharing a larger version of this, my personal favorite photo-illustration. It took a couple weeks of work, fitting in time whenever I could, so i don't have an accurate hour count. Most of the major elements were purchased from istockphoto.com. I like the appeal of the the city in the opening credits; it's completely busy from ground to air. I usually try not to make things so cluttered or without a clear subject... this had a collage feel in the end and I think it helped capture that ongoing busyness of the cartoon city.

Wow!! this is great work. I like how you included from the beginning of how you created each of the characters . Great Job
Amazing detail! I'm constantly in awe of your work, D.
Amazing stuff Dylan! I love the progress images too.
the street sign in the background is in Japanese. the kanji are hard to see, but i think i can see Eki Mae, which mean some station. my japanese is not that good so i might be wrong. here in japan they do not have proper street names, just signs telling you where you are.
all hail hypno toad!
Watch out! someone might make a live action cgi movie out of it if they see this!
Sooo Coool!
Nice retouching skills
I hate that people can do this. Why do I have to suck at it so much? I mean, don't get me wrong, I draw a killer stickman, but photoshopping and freestyle drawing just aren't my things.
Good job.
If Futurama WERE Real --> Subjunctive
Hah! This is awesome. You sir are the man.
One of our local landmarks is in there! Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth, UK. Very unique work, the cat and dog are a nice touch.

Thanks!
There are plans(hopes) to continue this as a series. Professor for sure. Hadn't thought of Morbo, but I'm liking the idea now.

If I have time I could bring out the layers, but the Toad wasn't too difficult. I really just took the one layer of the toad source (masked) and painted in the eye colors on a new layer with a soft round brush. Straight up PS painting.
"and i hav saw this on 3 web sites now did you really make it"
Not a bad thing to be asked. Most sites where I've seen this image have been kind enough to leave my name and website on the image; I hope you saw it there too.
Very cool.
Someone else tried also, but not as realistic as yours http://ansamaa.org/gallery/184/
Great vision of future man.You have done a really good work and emphasized each of the character in just your very own way.
wow, Lila is hot =)
"Bandwith exceded." Sad face.
Is 'Leela" based on the actress, Jennifer Garner?
"Is 'Leela" based on the actress, Jennifer Garner?"
No, but the model does look a lot like her! Just some lady found on istockphoto.
